APC Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) BV650I Editorial Review
The APC BV1000I-MS is a reliable uninterruptible power supply perfect for use with computer equipment. The battery is a 12V, 9AH lead-acid battery that is unfortunately not user-replaceable. The SMT2200IC is recommended for powering motor loads like CPAP devices. The unit has universal sockets that work with UK plugs and no fan, but air vents are provided, helping to cool the unit down. The BV1000I-MS UPS has received mixed reviews, with some users complaining of the UPS giving off a burning smell and emitting fumes, which irritates breathing. It reaches the temperature of up to 45 degrees Celcius. It is not suitable for sensitive loads. But generally, the product is of excellent quality and has worked for many reviewers during multiple power cuts.
