Novelty Editorial Review
Striptease 1996 [DVD] presents a captivating yet comedic narrative where a mother, desperately trying to regain custody of her daughter, turns to stripping as her only viable option. The film features a noteworthy cast including Demi Moore and Burt Reynolds, and despite its flaws, it has garnered appreciation for its entertaining, offbeat humor, showcasing scenes that sensibly blend absurdity with underlying social commentary. The strong musical score further elevates the viewing experience, while the picture and sound quality in this DVD release are commendable. Despite mixed reviews regarding the acting and script quality, many viewers find enjoyment in its lighthearted approach to serious themes.
