- Be honest, if the work you are doing suddenly disappears, will anything be missing from life? Anthropologist and anarchist activist David Graeber (1961-2020), who was a lecturer at the London School of Economics, examines the works in Tırışkadan İşler that do not benefit anyone, have no meaning, and perhaps even harm society with their presence, and explains how they have been multiplied over generations. It reveals with bold and solid evaluations. David Graeber's article titled On Business from Controversy, which forms the basis of this book, attracted the attention of millions when it was published in 2013. Many people from almost every sector, from bankers to lawyers, from communicators to non-governmental employees, sent e-mails to the author to explain their situation. The reason why the article caused such a great shock was that everyone actually knew that the work they were doing was crazy, and although it could not be expressed, it could be felt from within. David Graeber, one of the pioneers of the Occupy Wall Street movement, loudly declares in Tırışkadan İşler that employees who are at least interested in what is happening around them whisper to each other in the nooks of open offices, in the corridors of plazas.
