- The Milliways Noon Menu, with the permission of its editor, conveyed a passage from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The passage read: The history of each major galactic civilization tends to go through three distinct and discernible stages. These stages are Survival, Inquiry, and Subtle Thinking; In other words, they are also known as the How, Why and Where stages. For example, the first stage is How Can We Eat? with the question, the second stage is Why Do We Eat? with the question, if it is the third stage, Where Should We Eat Lunch? it is defined by the question. The menu later said that Milliways, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, was a very appropriate and distinguished answer to this third question. Having accomplished six completely impossible tasks since the morning, the passengers of the Heart of Gold decided to crown the day in a way they truly deserved: a sumptuous meal at the best restaurant to go, with the best view to behold.
