About This Item
Introducing the Firestik II FS3-USA CB Antenna, the ultimate choice for long-range, high-performance CB communication. This 3-foot antenna is specifically designed with a 5/8 wave length to deliver exceptional signal strength and clarity. One of the standout features of the Firestik II FS3-USA is its unique tuning mechanism. Unlike other antennas, adjusting the SWR (standing wave ratio) on this antenna is a breeze.
Simply pop off the tip and turn the adjustment screw to fine-tune the antenna for optimal performance. This patented design not only makes tuning easier, but it also broadens the antenna's bandwidth, resulting in lower SWR over more channels. With a power handling capability of 650 watts, the FS3-USA is built to handle high-power transmissions without compromising signal quality. Each antenna is wound with heavy insulated copper wire, ensuring durability and preventing oxidation and shorted windings often found on non-Firestik antennas. Designed with versatility in mind, the FS3-USA can be used in both single and dual antenna configurations.
For vehicles with a metallic ground plane, a single antenna setup will suffice. However, if you prefer a dual (co-phased) configuration or have a vehicle made from any type of material, the FS3-USA is compatible. Built to withstand the elements, the Firestik II FS3-USA features a rust-proof brass tunable tip mechanism and a weather-resistant fiberglass reinforced shaft. The 3/8-24 threaded base has a tapered contact point that works especially well with Firestik mounts and accessories, ensuring a secure and vibration-resistant connection.
