Features Repairs stripped or damaged threads in M14x1.5 engine blocks or other metric applications: The HeliCoil 5544-14 is designed to repair stripped or damaged threads in M14x1.5 size metric applications, which are commonly found in engine blocks, drain plugs, and Mack-Scania head bolts. Provides a permanent and high-strength thread repair solution: HeliCoil Thread Inserts are a permanent and high-strength solution for repairing damaged threads. The inserts are made of a strong, stainless steel wire that is wound into a helical coil. This coil is then inserted into the damaged thread, where it creates a new, stronger thread that can withstand years of wear and tear. Easy to install: The HeliCoil 5544-14 kit includes everything you need to install the inserts quickly and easily. The kit includes a tap, an installation tool, and a quantity of inserts. The tap is used to create a new, clean thread in the damaged hole. The installation tool is then used to insert the HeliCoil into the hole. The inserts are available in a variety of sizes to fit a wide range of applications.
