This bit has received mixed reviews from customers. One customer who used it to cut dog-bones into black cherry wood reported that the yellow friction coating on the bit tore off after the first use and it became dull and inefficient soon after. However, other customers were impressed by the quality of the bit, including its clean, accurate cut, and planned to purchase more. One customer even bought a back-up. Overall, the general Consensus is that the bit is of good quality, however, it may not be the best choice for hardwood. Those who wish to invest in a more durable bit should Consider Whiteside or Freud brands.
