The Dennis Wick 1.5CH mouthpiece has been well received by customers, particularly those who play for extended periods of time. One former professional player still plays every day using the mouthpiece which is particularly comfortable, with a larger throat than a Bach 3C and broader tone. Slotting is also reported to be very good. The mouthpiece reportedly produces a full low register, clear and lyrical upper register with smooth, easy slurs. It is described as very dynamic and sweet with good breath support. There were some complaints about tuning, however, as some notes reportedly sounded a bit sharp. Overall, the Dennis Wick 1.5CH mouthpiece reviews indicate that it is a well-made, quality item that produces an excellent tone, although it may be harder to purchase without trying first if using other standard manufacturers' scales.
