The saddle hackles come in a small package of approximately 1/2 oz and are 4-6" in length. They can be used for an array of styles of flies, including dry flies, but some customers found there were very few feathers to tie with. The price is for one color, but there are variety packs available with all five colors. The feathers can be used for tailing and the customers recommend using Hungarian Partridge feathers. The quality of the feathers received was lower than expected by some customers, with very few feathers and some of them being too dry which caused cracking, but others found the feathers to be nice. The product has a mixed reception in terms of quality and quantity when compared to local fly shops.
