Horror Editorial Review
**** "Dceased: Unkillables" takes readers on a thrilling journey through a zombie-infested apocalypse, artfully blending the elements of superhero storytelling with the intense survival tactics reminiscent of classic horror films. This graphic novel serves as a gripping companion piece to the original "DCeased," shifting the narrative from a slow unraveling of society's collapse to an action-packed, claustrophobic adventure. The characters, typically seen as either heroes or villains, are reimagined within a morally ambiguous world where they must band together to endure an overwhelming epidemic of anti-life. Tom Taylor's masterful storytelling skillfully resurrects lesser-known characters, turning them into captivating protagonists that evoke unexpected emotional connections—even eliciting empathy for cosmically villainous figures like Cheetah. The artwork, while stylized and somewhat rough in appearances by Mostert, Scott, and others, is effective in conveying the escalating tension and chaos of the unfolding drama. Readers can expect a profound mix of gruesome moments paired with humor, reminiscent of the "Suicide Squad" series, further enhancing the chaotic scenarios presented throughout the narrative. Despite the action-packed premise, some reviews indicate that not all characters get their moment in the spotlight, which may leave readers wanting more in terms of dynamic action scenes. Nonetheless, the book remains rated highly for its compelling characters and engaging plot twists that keep readers on edge. For those who appreciate a blending of horror, humor, and superhero antics, "Dceased: Unkillables" is highly recommended and a definite must-read for comic book enthusiasts, especially those tipping toward dark themes. **
