The Kum long point sharpener is a hand-held sharpening tool for 2mm and 3.2mm leads. It is best suited for Staedtler Lumographs, Faber-Castells, Generals, and other cheapie pencils. It is not recommended for Prismacolor Ebony as the lead diameter is too large. The compartment for shavings is small, and the lid hinges on flexible plastic. The sharpener comes with a couple of spare blades. It delivers a long point with a needle sharp tip. The blades are a cut above the typical sharpener and work automatically in two stages to sharpen the wood and the lead/graphite. The case is small enough to fit into a small area and has a real plus in catching shavings.
