The rack can be installed with the ceiling brackets parallel to the 8 foot C-channels or parallel to the 4 foot C-channels. The rack is designed to be installed into wood joists only. If your ceiling is dry-walled, use a stud finder to locate the joists. The rack is big, so make sure you have enough room to install it. You will need two people to lift the boxes, as they are heavy. The rack can hold up to 600 lbs. It is sturdy and well-built, providing a great weight support, and allowing you to store all kinds of items.
