It has been approved by the state of California Fire Marshal to be used on classroom walls and is not Considered to be a flammable solid material. The product is not self-adhesive and must be mounted with staples, pins or the Better Than Paper Mounting tape. The black paper works well with liquid chalk markers, dry erase pens, and thumbtacks, and can even be attached to wooden cabinets with staples. The paper has a glossy sheen, which some reviewers found to be less preferable than matte options. Overall, the Better Than Paper Bulletin Board Roll is highly recommended for use in classrooms or any space requiring a durable bulletin board background option.
